A real farm, close to the city
Kiwi Valley is a 20-acre farm in Henderson Valley, West Auckland, with paddocks, stables and animals cared for every day. Each spring brings new arrivals born right here: lambs, goat kids, kunekune piglets, chicks and ducklings. Since 2001, we've been giving city kids and their families a hands-on taste of farm life: feeding, holding, riding and exploring, right on Auckland's doorstep.
Our story
Kiwi Valley began in 2001 with a simple idea: many city children had only ever known household pets, and a real farm could introduce them to a whole different world.
In 2013, Ben and Crystal took over and spent more than a decade growing Kiwi Valley into the place so many Auckland families know and love today. We’re grateful for everything they built and the many happy memories made here over the years.
A new chapter
In 2026, Kiwi Valley began a new chapter with us, Natalie and Eric.
We’re an American family who spent many years living in Singapore before moving to New Zealand with our two young boys. After years of city life, we wanted something different — a chance to spend more time outdoors, work with our hands, and build something meaningful together as a family.
Kiwi Valley felt like a wonderful opportunity to do just that, while giving other families the chance to experience the simple joys of farm life: meeting animals, getting their hands dirty, learning something new and spending time together outdoors.
We’re excited to carry on what makes Kiwi Valley special, while bringing some new ideas of our own.
The farm, the animals and the team you know are all still here. The same hands-on experiences, the same muddy gumboots, and hopefully many more happy memories to come.
